A 47-year-old quality control inspector had worked steadily for years before a health crisis forced him to stop. He applied for disability assistance but faced a multi-year wait with zero income in the meantime. When his electricity bill became unmanageable, he had nowhere to turn. We provided a zero-interest bridge loan that kept his lights on while the system caught up. He did not need a handout. He needed someone to stand with him.
