About PCM and the Site

PCM is a community-wide ministry that provides zero-interest emergency loans for utility bills and manages funding for critical home repairs for residents of Lee County, Alabama. The Site provides information about our services, our history, and our impact, and allows visitors to contact us, request assistance, make donations, and subscribe to updates.

Information on the Site is provided for general informational purposes. It does not guarantee assistance, funding, or eligibility. All requests for assistance are subject to PCM’s intake process and board review, as described on the Site.

Eligibility and Use of the Site

You may use the Site only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

  • Use the Site in any way that violates applicable federal, state, or local law.

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its servers, or any connected systems or networks.

  • Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Site, including by introducing malicious code.

  • Use the Site to transmit unsolicited advertising, spam, or fraudulent communications.

  • Collect or harvest personal information of other users.

Requests for Assistance

The Site allows residents to learn about our services and to contact us to request assistance. Submitting a contact form, calling, emailing, or visiting our office does not by itself create any obligation on the part of PCM to provide assistance.

All assistance is subject to eligibility criteria, available funding, a personal intake interview, and approval by PCM’s board of directors. Eligibility requirements and the application process are described on the Seeking Help page of the Site and may change at any time. PCM reserves the right to grant or decline assistance at its sole discretion.

Where PCM provides assistance in the form of a zero-interest loan, the specific terms of that loan are set out in a separate written agreement between PCM and the recipient. These Terms do not govern any such loan.

Donations

The Site allows you to make donations to PCM through third-party payment processors, including Givebutter, as well as by text, check, stock transfer, and other methods described on the Give page.

  • Donations are voluntary and, unless otherwise specified at the time of your gift, are not refundable. If you believe a donation was made in error, contact us at info@pcm-al.org and we will review the request in good faith.

  • A donation to PCM is a charitable gift. It is not a loan to the donor and does not entitle the donor to repayment. Donations fund PCM’s programs, including its zero-interest loan program for neighbors in crisis.

  • PCM is a nonprofit organization. The deductibility of any donation for tax purposes depends on your individual circumstances. PCM does not provide tax or legal advice. Please consult your own advisor.

  • Recurring gifts continue until you cancel them. You may modify or cancel a recurring gift through the applicable payment processor or by contacting us at info@pcm-al.org.

  • Donations made in honor or memory of another person are acknowledged as described on the Give page. Please provide accurate recipient information so we can send an acknowledgment.

Payments are processed by third parties. PCM does not collect or store your full payment card or bank account details. Your use of a payment processor is subject to that processor’s own terms and privacy policy, and PCM is not responsible for the practices of those third parties.
