You Do Not Have to Face This Alone

If you are behind on a utility bill or dealing with a home repair that is threatening your ability to stay in your home, we may be able to help. We serve Lee County residents with zero-interest emergency loans and access to critical repair resources. Every person who comes to us is treated with respect, privacy, and dignity. There is no shame in asking for help, and we are here to provide it.

What We Provide

We offer two primary types of assistance for Lee County residents:

No-Interest Emergency Utility Loans

Zero-interest loans of up to $300 for water, gas, or electricity bills. Designed to prevent utility shut-offs and keep you in your home.

Critical Home Repairs

Access to repair funding for major structural issues through Community Development Block Grant resources in Auburn and private zero-interest loans across Lee County.

Simple. Private. Respectful.

Here is what to expect when you reach out to us:

  1. Call us to schedule an appointment. 
     

  2. Meet with our team for a short, private intake conversation. We will review your situation and your bill together.
     

  3. Receive a decision from our board. If approved, assistance is provided quickly.
     

  4. Loans are repaid over time with zero interest. If repayment is not possible, the board reviews on a case-by-case basis.

To Receive Assistance

from PCM, applicants must meet the following requirements:

Permanent resident of Lee County, Alabama

Have lived at the address in need for at least three months

Valid photo ID

Current utility bill/proof of need and documentation of ownership or lease agreement

Our team reviews each application personally.
If we cannot help directly, we will do our best to connect you with someone who can.
